MKM – Build & Design has begun a new, high-profile project: the construction of an exclusive single-family home located in one of the most prestigious areas of the West region—the stunning Praia D’El Rey Golf and Beach Resort.
The project, by the Sousa Lopes architecture firm, stands out for its contemporary elegance and high-quality finishes. Located on a 2,135 m² lot, the house was designed to maximize its natural surroundings. With 800 m² of gross area, it stands out for its glass-fronted infinity pool and nearly complete dark-colored rustic stone cladding, giving it a solid and sophisticated presence.
Inside, wood floors with a heating system ensure comfort and well-being, while intrusion glass frames enhance security, thermal insulation, and energy efficiency. Outside, the fire pit integrated into the leisure area extends the home’s experience to the outdoors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in any season.
With a concept that combines contemporary design and technical excellence, the project is now entering a decisive phase of preparation and planning. The MKM team is dedicated to in-depth study and compatibility of specialties, ensuring that all construction and technical solutions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. At the same time, the company is awaiting the issuance of the construction permit by the Óbidos City Hall, an essential step to begin construction in compliance with current legal and urban planning requirements.
“We are very excited about this partnership and fully focused on moving forward with the execution phase as soon as possible. We are currently analyzing the stability design, carrying out detailed compatibility between the stability and architectural designs, to ensure that everything will be ready as soon as the permit is approved,” says Ricardo Marques, a civil engineer at MKM, who will assume construction management.
